Count Raven - Mammons War (2009).

Quem não conhece direito a voz do Ozzy Osbourne e escuta pela primeira vez a voz de Dan Fondelius, vocalista da banda sueca, "Count Raven", corre sério risco de confundir o mesmo. O "Count Raven" é uma banda de Doom Metal, fortemente influenciada pelo "Black Sabbath" e que começou a sua carreira em 1989.

"Mammons War", quinto álbum da banda, possui excelentes composições com mais de 5 minutos de duração e que lembram bastante os álbuns "Volume 4" e "Master of Reality". Acredito que se tivessem cortado um pouco de gordura, "Mammons War" seria ainda melhor, pois algumas músicas terminam soando um pouco cansativas ou até desnecessárias como é o caso da nona trilha, "Magic Is".

"A Lifetime" uma das melhores músicas do álbum possui um trabalho de riffs fantástico e que remete bastante aos feitos pelo ex-guitarrista do "Black Sabbath", Tommy Ioni. Aliás, o trabalho de Dan Fondelius merece ser ressaltado, pois, além de cantar, o mesmo toca de forma magistral a guitarra e realiza um trabalho excelente nos teclados. Prova disso é a música, "Mammons War" que possui partes feitas com sintetizadores que soam muito bem. Enfim, um álbum de Doom muito bom para os fãs de "Candlemass", "Trouble" e até mesmo "Black Sabbath"! Com certeza os que gostam de Ozzy e nunca ouviram o "Count Raven" ficarão assustados com a semelhança vocal.

Adrift é o segundo álbum da carreira a solo do vocalista e guitarrista americano. Scott Wino foi criado sob égide da escola tradicional de rock e blues, tendo ajudado a implementar, posteriormente, os alicerces do doom metal. Mas, como bom filho retorna a casa, este disco demonstra um veterano de regresso ao seu período de tirocínio, com todo o arcabolço que os anos lhe deram, simultaneamente. Imperdível.
