Listen before you buy MONDRIAN

"Were you aware that people in Idaho don’t dance much? Well now you are, all thanks to Parisian duo Mondrian (Roman Oswald and Morning Crash….I’ll give the population of Idaho $1 each if that’s his real name). If that is his real name then it’s a good thing that I never keep my bets.

The two guys are making some unhealthily addictive indie-pop treasures, so charming and virulent in their very nature that you can’t help but sing along even though you don’t know all the words yet. You can’t even tell they’re French other than a few tell-tale signs that seep out of their songs. They’ve been releasing music for a few years now and have a bunch of it, a couple of those songs you can hear below. What strikes me most about the band is the time and effort they put in their videos; they’re fun, clever, bright and somewhat horrifying, especially the one for “Last Breakfast On Planet Surf”…..the end of that’s just weird." = http://www.listenbeforeyoubuy.net/listen/listendownload-mondrian-indie-pop/.
